KTMB Mobile Service (KTMB MobTicket - Concession)

This document set out the terms and conditions applicable for reservation of tickets through KTM BERHAD mobile ticketing service, KTMB MobTicket and you are governed by Malaysian Law. These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time. You will be deemed to have accepted all terms and conditions if you make reservation through KTMB MobTicket. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, you may discontinue your transaction



1. Availability of tickets

1.1 Tickets are subject to availability and general terms and conditions, and to particular terms and conditions that apply to each intercity and ETS service.


2. Accuracy of information


2.1 We do our best ensure that the information and fares display in our mobile ticketing service are correct. Should there be any errors or inaccurate information, we apologise but cannot hold responsible.
 

3. In using MobTicket, you agree that:

3.1 You will use this service only for your personal use and not for any unlawful or illegal purpose.

3.2 You will not modify, transmit or copy or sell or transfer any information or services you may obtain from mobile ticketing service.

3.3 You will be responsible for any charges, cost and/or liabilities that arise out of your use of this service.
 

4. Copyright

4.1 We do No part of this mobile ticketing service may be copied, published, broadcast or adapted without our prior written consent.
 

5. Other terms

5.1 Conditions of carriage contain limitations of liability and passengers are recommended to read them before travelling.
 

6. Ticket

6.1 Purchase of ticket can be done within 30 days prior traveling date but not less than 4 hours before departure.

6.2 Non-refundable MYR2 admin charges will be charge for each ticket. 6.3 Child fare for passenger age 4 to 12 years (below 4 years old travel free of charge).

6.4 Ticket depart from Woodlands will be charge and payable in Singapore Dollar (SGD) denomination.

6.5 Maximum 2 tickets can be purchase for each transaction (one way journey ONLY).

6.6 Payment via internet banking (credit card Visa and Master and selected debit card)

6.7 Purchase of ticket for selected ETS/ Intercity train subject to terms and conditions of minimum distance.   

 
i- Woodlands – Segamat or Segamat - Woodlands   
ii- Hat Yai/Padang Besar – Parit Buntar or Parit Buntar – Padang Besar/Hat Yai
iii- Jerantut - Tumpat or Tumpat – Jerantut.
iv- KLS – Kuala Kangsar v- Padang Besar – Parit Buntar

 
6.8 If ticket reservation was unsuccessful and customer is charged for the fares, merchant bank will refund the amount via customer’s account within 10 days.

6.9 Customer must register passenger’s name and IC/passport number during purchase of ticket. 6.10 Customer is responsible to ensure passenger’s name and IC/passport number and travel details are correct.

6.11 Minimum amount of ticket prices for each ticket is MYR20.00 or SGD20.00.

6.12 Customer must present valid ticket ID or reference number at any KTM BERHAD Intercity ticket counter at least 1 hour before departure in exchange for printed ticket.
 

7. Concession/Discount Ticket

7.1 Concession ticket eligible for:

 
i- Senior citizen (60 years and above, Malaysian ONLY).
ii- Disable (registered with Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat, Malaysian ONLY).

 
7.2 Passenger’s name and IC/passport number must register during purchase of ticket for inspection and verification purpose by KTMB personnel on board the train.

7.3 Concession/discount ticket is not valid for shuttle service JB Sentral – Woodlands – JB Sentral.
 

8. Ticket Inspection

8.2 Passenger must produce valid ticket during inspection at KTM BERHAD premises and/or on board the train.

 
i- Printed ticket or
ii- Virtual ticket (saved ticket image via smartphone or tablet).

 
8.3 Ticket is valid for passenger whose name and IC/passport number stated on ticket and in boarding list.

8.4 Passenger holding concession ticket must produce original copy of valid document during inspection;
  
i- Identity card or passport for senior citizen.  
ii- Identity card and registration card Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat for disable.

 
8.5 Passenger holding senior citizen ticket but his/her age less than 60 years old during inspection at KTM BERHAD premises and/or on board the train must pay full fare and surcharge.

8.6 Passenger who fails to produce valid ticket or original copy of valid document during inspection at KTM BERHAD premises and/or on board the train must pay full fare and surcharge.

8.7 Foreigner holding concession ticket during inspection at KTM BERHAD premises and/or on board the train must pay full fare and surcharge.

8.8 Passenger shuttle service JB Sentral – Woodlands – JB Sentral holding concession/discount ticket during inspection at KTM BERHAD premises and/or on board the train must pay full fare and surcharge.

8.9 Surcharge:

 
i- MYR/SGD30 for 1st class ticket.
ii- MYR/SGD20 for 2nd class ticket.
iii- MYR/SGD10 for 3rd class ticket
iv- MYR20 for ETS platinum/gold/silver.

 
8.10 Tickets are not transferable.


9. Amendment of ticket

9.1 Amendment can be done at KTM BERHAD Intercity ticket counter at least 24 hours before departure of original ticket.

9.2 Passenger must produce valid printed ticket or ticket ID or reference number.

9.3 Terms and conditions:

 
i- Amendment of travelling date and/or time of departure and/or coach type is allowed.
ii- Subject to availability of seat/berth at time of amendment.
iii- Non-refundable amendment charges will be charged for each ticket.

9.4 No refund for the difference in ticket price if passenger downgrades their ticket to lower class.


10. Cancellation of ticket and refund of fares

10.1 Cancellation can be done at KTM BERHAD Intercity ticket counter at least 4 hours before departure time.

10.2 Passenger must produce valid printed ticket or ticket ID or reference number and together with IC/Passport.

10.3 Terms and conditions:

 
i- Cancellation submitted less than 72 hours prior train depart, refund 50% of ticket fare.
ii- Cancellation submitted more than 72 hours prior train depart; refund 75% of ticket fare.

10.4 No refund for admin charges or amendment charges or any other charges.


11. Changes/Cancellation by KTM BERHAD

11.1 If any changes or cancellation are made by KTM BERHAD to any coaches or train services;

 
i- KTM BERHAD’s maximum liability is to refund ticket fares only.
ii- No refund for admin charges or amendment charges or any other charges.



12. Error/incorrect travel details

12.1 KTM BERHAD accepts no liability for any error in travel details due to 

 
i- Incorrect information keyed in by customer during purchasing of ticket.
ii- Force majeure and/or any matters beyond KTM BERHAD reasonable control.


13. Restriction and liability

13.1 KTM BERHAD accepts no liability for the failure of other carrier or tour operator or service provider to perform or in case of casualty or injuries resulting from third parties.

13.2 KTM BERHAD accepts no liability for theft, loss or damage of luggage or belongings caused by a force majeure event.

13.3 Save as aforesaid, KTM BERHAD excludes all liabilities to customers to the maximum extent permitted by law.


14. Force Majeure
14.1 KTM BERHAD accepts no liability for any delay, poor performance or failure in performance caused by force majeure and/or any matters beyond KTM BERHAD reasonable control.
 

15. Others

15.1 These terms and conditions are correct as at the time of print and subject to change at any time without prior notice.
